What will you fund?

We want to fund good ideas that do at least one of these things:

  1. Improve the places and spaces that matter to communities in the Ouse Burn Valley
  2. Engage the public and increase community involvement
  3. Achieve a significant reduction in the pollution of the Ouse Burn and its tributaries.
  4. Develop and extend a wildlife corridor to improve the ecology and biodiversity of the Ouse Burn and its tributaries.
  5. Achieve improvements in the linkages between the various sections and overall access.
  6. Encourage development opportunities consistent with planning policies.
  7. Enable good pedestrian and cycling infrastructure and enhance visitor attractions.
  8. Improve health, wellbeing, education and heritage with initiatives.
  9. Seek opportunities to actively contribute to the mitigation of Climate Change, for example through improved sequestering of carbon, improved opportunities to walk or cycle, reducing flood risk and creation of more resilient habitats.

How do I apply?

There are two options.

Express Interest

If you’ve got an idea you’d like to discuss further before submitting a formal application please complete an ‘Expression of Interest’ to tell us more about your organisation and the work that you want us to fund, in particular what and where it will happen, and the impact it will have on Ouse Burn.

The Expression of Interest Form is designed to be a quick, easy way for you to tell us the basic idea of your project.

Apply Now

If you’d like to go ahead and apply straight away please complete and submit a full application form.

At the application stage you will be asked to give us more detail about the work you are doing. We will also ask for further details about your organisations finances and governance.
